DAVID'S  CARPENTRY
Basement Repair.
My customers basement had a leak.  The basement waterproofing company fixed it, but they had to open up two walls and remove the studs.

I framed in the walls and window.  The bottom plate is treated lumber which should be used in a basement.
New insulation.
Here it is drywalled, taped, sanded and ready for primer.
The wall is about 8" thick so the window had to be boxed in with clear pine so it could be trimmed.
Here is the finished window.
Here are the finished walls.  Painted and baseboard installed.
My customer also wanted me to dress up the basement stairs.  The treads are plain old 2x10's that are painted gray.  I used an oak veneer kit for stairs.  It comes with treads, risers and rounded stair edging.  The oak is glued and nailed.
The finished stairs.
Here is a glass block window that he wanted to be trimmed out.  I started by attaching framing members to the concrete walls.
The jam and casing is then attached to the framing members, and then painted.
