DAVID'S CARPENTRY
Custom Cabinets III.
My customer wanted some custom built-in cabinets in their laundry room.
The early stages of the washer/dryer cabinet. It is a floor to ceiling cabinet that is built around the stackable washer/dryer.
Those are actually two tall doors that are made to look like four doors. This part of the cabinet is six feet tall inside, tall enough for brooms and mops. It is painted the same color as the doors and trim.
Here is a view of the upper part of the cabinet. The stackable washer/dryer fit nicely on the left. I made the doors the same way I made these.
On the other side of the laundry room there is recess in the wall, a perfect place for a bench seat, coat rack and shelves.
Here is view of the bench seat. It has a shelf in front and is open on the bottom for boots and shoes. Note the beadboard back.
Here is the upper part of the bench seat area with coat hooks installed. It is painted the same color as the trim and doors.
Here is the finished bench seat.
The back half of the bench seat has a lid that opens for storage.
