DAVID'S CARPENTRY
Sink Repair.
This is a bathroom vanity with an undermount sink. The sink came loose and fell.
This is a view of the underside of the vanity top. The sink was totally separated from the the granite. I held the sink in place and traced the outline with a pencil. This tells me where to attach the epoxy undermount clips as the picture shows.
I then removed the sink and scraped off all the old glue and caulk and sanded it down. The surface must be perfectly clean so that the epoxy sticks to it.
This is the epoxy undermount clip. To the right is the epoxy. It sets up in 6 minutes and is ready to support the weight of the sink in 20.
I put a bead of clear silicone caulk on the rim of the sink and clamped it in place. Total time for this job was 2 1/2 hours.
